Is it possible that the pledged shares could be used for manipulating the market?

Hi, could someone explain the ‘other comprehensive loss’ of 67 crores mentioned in the financial results? because, including that the total comprehensive income for the quarter is not 103 crores, but 35 crores.

@VALUEBUYER001 Please take care of your health Sir. May be it might take a few more quarters before our investment in BCG gives us good returns. Meanwhile you invest in your health Sir, and may be take a short break from mmb? The price should eventually rise once axis and daum are settled, backed by few more quarters of profit growth, and may be dividends/buybacks as well. Wishing you good health and happiness.

I just noticed that the auditor’s remuneration increased from 41 lakhs to 81 lakhs between 2016 and 2017. Since I am relatively new to BCG, can someone who knows better help me to understand the rise?

Approximate figures for last financial year (in USD)

    Criteo:
    Profit ~ 10 crores
    Market cap ~ 76 crores

    Trade Desk:
    Profit ~ 10 crores
    Market cap~ 2000 crores

    Affle:
    Profit ~ 0.9 crores
    Market cap ~ 100 crores

    Brightcom Group:
    Profit ~ 6 crores
    Market cap ~ 5 crores

Well, what could be Brightcom’s true intrinsic value considering its growth and longevity prospects?

I think it has to do with the rank of your badge in MMB? The person with a higher rank can mark as offensive the comments of one with a lower rank?
    Details are here: https://mmb.moneycontrol.com/membership-rules/

However, now I am feeling may be it’s best just to ignore them. Eventually, no one can deny Brightcom from reaching it’s true value. The MMB boarders might be able to delay it, but they definitely cannot deny it. And somehow, their 24×7 presence in MMB makes me feel more secure about Brightcom – “Stones and sticks are thrown only at fruit-bearing trees”.

Let’s hope SKR takes note. He should know better. I was thinking SKR might know Pichai personally as well. I remember SKR mentioning about Pichai in one of his interviews. Let’s hope for the best. In any case, Google, being a highly data driven company, looking into the digital sector in India tells us a lot about the growth prospects we have here in the sector. Brightcom should definitely benefit, either way.

“Sundar Pichai says Google to invest Rs 75,000 crore in India over next 5-7 years”

    https://www.moneycontrol.com/news/business/sundar-pichai-says-google-to-invest-rs-75000-crore-in-india-over-next-5-7-years-5541381.html

    Pichai said he wanted India not only to benefit from next wave of innovation but to lead it. Google, he said, will focus on the following four areas of investment;

    – affordable access to Indian languages

    – building new products and services unique to India

    – empowering business, and

    – leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) in health, education and agriculture

Doesn’t it relate to Brightcoms growth prospect in India as well, in the next few years?

Earlier, SKR had commented during the conference call regarding AI: “And we are already working in agriculture right now. We’re working in e-commerce. We are also working in medical. We’re working with a very large player in medical with — in terms of 1 of the largest internet companies in the world for their colonoscopy analysis.”

Sundar Pichai being an alumnus of IIT Kgp, which is SKRs alma mater too, any chance of potential tie-ups with Google in the future?
Pichai has stated that they are looking at equity investments as well. Can SKR and Brightcom capitalize on this opportuniy (if it is one)?

I think we should get back to MMB and continue discussions there as well. After all, we are quite a strong community now, and how many messages can the operators possibly mark as offensive? They are human too.

Is there any solution to the problem of operators marking useful comments as offensive in MMB? Are we incapable of doing anything about it?
