What you guys think about Vedanta , as i feel there exposure in Multiple commodities may reap a big benefit as we are early stages of Big commodity cycle. Note in last big commodity cycle it had moved from 80 to 450+ in 2 years(2008-10).

During that time it did not have exposure in steel , Oil&Gas Biz. In 2011 they merged Cairn India and later acquired Electro steels to access the steel sector.

Additionally they have tied up with TACHYUS (Oil Exploration start up) which may bump up their production and reserves in Oil sector

Just my guess Lanco infra guys were using this IT subsidary(LGS) to manipulate there forex gains, while Ybrant were taking over LGS as a anti takeover strategy (ybrant vs Daum) , otherwise it makes no sense to acquire in low tier IT co in early 2010s when there was intial craze coming up for Cloud tech service cos

thus it feels mgmt has just used reverse merger with LGS to manipulate there needs rather than using it as strategic unit, have we ever heard anything by mgmt on IT services in so many years in concall.

i always had the big question , if LGS acquisition was used as tool to manipulate the issues , because i always had curiosity what value did they find in LGS aka Lanco global system, earlier i used to believe this was done to safeguard itself from Daum issue ( As ybrant digital shares were to be used as collateral). But now the issues and repeated mistakes in Corp Governence raises many concerns.

We can never get clear ans , only God knows the truth.

Did anybody get any reply from the management on the dividend, even during 2016 there was issue at the time of dividend payment , they had stated some technical issue between share registrar and them. It seems they cry the same song again, lets hope atleast scores takes notice and bring them to the board

@logan – i never could comprehend the software side of the Business , maybe @headstead would have better idea , it has always been mystery to me , even if you look at the current qtr result the revenue from software side has fallen from 113 to 80+ crores while DM side has grown from 516 cr to 557 crore. if anybody has more details. Yes , Even i feel the same , management has been proactive in sharing imp updates this year. i anticipate the biggest announcement of LOC may come in before the Axis settlement, as the rise in volumes indicates something big will be revealed

Now the stock is near to its 200 DMA which is around 6.31 , we need a reversal next week for sustaining the Uptrend which started in May
