Just a little background about Tracxn and it’s founder Abhishek Goyal.
Tracxn is a Bengaluru based company. It creates a database of startups across the world and across emerging sectors and makes it easy for private equity investors to invest.
Ratan Tata and Flipkart founders are investors in it
One of the co-founder Abhishek Goyal is a techie turned investor. He is highly regarded in the startup world. During his stint as VC in Accel partners he was the one who made the first million dollar investment in Flipkart when it was running from a rented house in Koramangala. In a way he kickstarted the startup revolution in India. Apart from running Tracxn he is a Angel investor and has invested in many startups like Delhivery and others

Sometimes companies do media announcements and arrange discussions too…this happens once the deal is finalized and agreement signed by both parties… I have never heard of calling for a investor meet that too just to reveal the name.
I am assuming the next update would be post the deal closure and this can come anytime…might be before August 5th too…note that BCG is ready with funds and it’s waiting for the legal and financial clearance from EY team.
hw_twRegistered BoarderIn terms of the target company’ revenues and profits there are some speculations going around in MC forum and YT videos…at this stage it is better not to speculate any number and it’s better to look at it as a strategic investment wherein both companies are going to get benefited by each other in terms of things like
– Cross selling services to each other’s customers
– Get new customers with larger deal sizes
– Penetrate new regions
– Decrease costs and increase margins
– Decrease receivable days (hoping DM has lesser receivable days unlike ads business)
– Strengthen their product portfolioIt is important to note that the companies that were acquired before by BCG were small but has grown large over a period of time by working together and leveraging each other’s strengths

The Uplers blog is talking about how Netflix and other OTT companies are using email marketing effectively…Incase Uplers has been working with these companies they would have let the readers know that they were the brains behind this and would have titled it as “How Uplers helped Netflix and other OTT companies”
However, Uplers might be working with these companies for different channel marketing activities like social media marketing…or these companies might have not allowed Uplers to use their name directly…so, we can’t completely rule out Uplers
The important take away from this article for me is that Netflix, Disney and other OTT companies does some serious deep thinking and get maximum ROI from these marketing activities…this means whichever company working behind the scenes with them would be having a noteworthy marketing team…we need to be happy that this company with strong marketing team is going to be part of BCG soon..:-)

Why such a sudden withdrawal now even before starting the war…are you thinking that some 100s of people are going to start believing your evidences without even knowing what you have collected till date …Or is it just a theory which you are shooting in dark and see how people are going to react to you
I don’t think people are going to support you blindly…unless you bring in some real credibility about yourself in this forum….And it’s not going to happen just by sharing your name or email id
Even the three other people who are aware of this matter as per you, also has not come in support of you…If these people are not trusting you and supporting your words how do you expect others to come in support of you
You got response from admin and from Logan too…Please respond to them with your evidences or analysis…While others can see the same and decide on what is the reality
Forget about individuals believing you any further, if you decide to start throwing mud on DH, admin and others citing them as reason for not taking it forward

Growth has to be in two forms
– technology, products, customers, ad channels, ads served, acquired because this
– financials and ratios reflecting this growth
The path to growth can be in any form…organic, acquisitions etc;
and funding can be from any sources…Internal, LoC, POs, PWs etc;
The second factor is Trust …Both on growth and on numbers
– analyst meets, research reports, recommendations and MF investment
– continous coverage by big media houses …We saw the first glimpse of it when ET covered about acquisition plansTo me both Growth and Trust factors matters most …
I am sure company is working on both these factors in parallel and in their own orders.
Instead of watching price, my personal view and a suggestion to all long term investors is to watch these factors and take a call on your investment and exposure limits while the graph of each of these factors fluctuate with every passing day

– While the 3rd party cookies are getting discontinued, the normal or 1st party cookies still remain
– Companies like TTD, LiveRamp and others all coming up with their own unique anonymous, secured ids as an alternative to 3rd party cookies
– TTD has moved a step further by open sourcing its technology and also partnering with a organization (Prebid.Org) to maintain the tools, technologies surrounding it
– LiveRamp too taking a step further to integrate their ATS ids with TTD’s Unified id thus easing the usage of these ids across publishers
– Lot of adtech companies are partnering with TTD / Prebid.org
– Behind the scenes a Unified ID 2.0 is nothing but our email-id, ip address, mobile number etc; this data is masked and encrypted so that humans can’t see what’s inside it
– Google is going in a different direction and not trying to capture any kind of identity information…It’s FLoC approach is based on similar browising pattern across
My personal view basis above points…I might be completely wrong on this
While there is a lot of noise around Unified Id 2.0, the adoption seems to be not that big…215 publishers from LiveRamp using it as of last October
Unified Id 2.0 is inline to GDPR or other Privacy laws it doesn’t seem to address fully Privacy concerns of users…while the User’s information is collected with their consent …But it is being used in a fashion which lot of user’s doesn’t like and are concerned about which led to downfall of 3rd party cookies
The absence of 3rd party cookies will be a wait and watch game for the adtech ecosystem…It would take some time for the industry to universally adopt to a standard approach basis the benefits it gives both to publishers and advertisers
While the dust settles down in a year or two there can be increase in non-programmatic / traditional advertising like a brand wanting to put up an ad on a news site …This is irrespective of individual’s interest in that product or service similar to news paper ads
Brightcom being in this business since long before all these programmatic ad technology solutions came in picture …Basically acting as an ad agency manually striking deals between the brands with its own 47k+ or network of publishers including BLocal
Brightcom would be benefiting with this uncertainty in adtech …I guess this could be one of the reason for increase in no.of direct accounts in AdAuth stats

hw_twRegistered Boarder@aindia – the publishers count is almost at ~47k since around a month but the direct accounts count is increasing day by day…May be around ~10k added in last month…What does this mean
– some dormant publishers are getting reactivated
– publishers using different Brightcom accounts for different channels or different type of ads

We all started connecting together because of BCG…As investors each one of us are invested in many other stocks and will continue doing so for many years
All of us will part away from BCG one day or the other …It could be either because of its performance or it reaching to a saturation level or we finding some other better investment opportunity and want to divert our funds…
This worries me that we are missing out the special bonding and expert diversied opinions which we don’t get in any other platform…And the kind of activities we do on this platform like polls, concall questionnier, special meetup with management
While we are with BCG thought we also connect on other investment opportunities and collectively grow (which is the objective for all of us)
We don’t need to stick to stocks in India …It could be something like stocks in US (Logan seems to be closely monitoring some adtech companies) or it could be something different from stocks like I see these days about commercial real estate (propshare, strata) or agricultural real estate (hosachiguru) or other financial instruments (GrowFix) or even startups.
@admin – please see whatever is appropriate considering your time and the type of platform which you want to bring in to keep this community intact at the same time not disturbing the core focus of this forum

I guess this site has brought together many like minded people and there are many investors who would want to follow stock ideas from knowledgeable boarders like you
Probably we can discuss it in a separate thread and if there is enough traction for any stock @admin can think of starting a dedicated website …hope he has enough bandwidth to maintain multiple sites..:-)
