Pledged shares reduction could be a direct result on repayment of loan to Canara Bank or SBI. Ideally pledged shares should be NIL once all Bank loans are repaid. Somehow the management has been very secretive on this.

Due to the overall scenario looks like the entire planned activities might be delayed by a quarter or so. Wait and watch is the only way forward. Management updates coming regularly. Rest up to the market.

Thanks srd..now we can expect more clarity from the company. Ultimately share price is what we are interested in , we should also ask him about it, if he says its beyond his control, we should investigate it ourselves. One of our colleagues in the forum had suggested a consultant for the same, I feel we should go ahead collectively on the same. Needless to say this will be after the concall and meeting with SKR if required.

Need to take the news flow vis a vis the price movement in market…if the price does not react no amount of news flow will help..so how does the price move…new investors..FII/DII purchasing in bulk. As of now we have the PO announcement & Auditor appointment..market has given a thumbs down..in the next few months we will have debt clearance, daum settlement..lets see how the market reacts

Spot on Jays ji…need to be very patient on this one. It took five years to reach rock bottom..needs five years for confidence rebuilding in the market. Impractical to expect continuous upper circuits, till it reaches the book value. Needless to say happy if I am proved wrong.

Anybody willing to visit his Hyderabad office and give their piece of mind to SKR ?? All these electronic medium communication does not seem to have an impact on him..Things have becoming very frustrating, no inflection only deflection. We are living in a living in a hypothetical world now, even FD’s would have given better returns than this stock.

As per the moneycontrol report AFFLE stands to gain due to the thrust given to Digital India :

Allocation for digital India: Rs. 6,000 crore to be allocated for the BharatNet programme in FY2021 to further enhance broadband connectivity in rural areas. The government announced to bring out a policy to enable the private sector to build data centre parks throughout the country.

This step would increase the penetration of smartphones/ internet in smaller towns and rural areas. As one lakh gram panchayats will be connected to the optical fibre programme, it would help the internet and new media companies like Affle India and Info Edge to penetrate into rural and semi-urban markets.

This is probably a way to stop shareholder fury before the con-call.The presentation just carried bullet points without figures or timelines. Looks like it will take longer than expected to close out pending issues. First our assumption was March 2020, now looks like June 2020.

One interesting thing happening is the receivable financing, this is most probably to increase the cash flow…However the dividend policy is omitted.

    What Is Circular Trading?
Circular trading is a fraudulent scheme where sell orders are entered by a broker who knows that offsetting buy orders for the exact same number of shares at the same time and, at the same price, have either been or will be entered.

    How Circular Trading Works
Such a trading scheme does not represent a real change in the beneficial ownership of the security. Circular trading artificially inflates volumes as a way to show that a security has liquidity, maintain share price at the desired level, and to act as proof that there is market interest in the stock. The practice is banned and illegal in numerous countries.

How Circular Trading Manipulates the Market
If circular trades persist, they can create a false sense of activity around a stock that may influence its price. For example, if the trading price of a security was on a trajectory to fall below levels desired by certain shareholders, a circular trade could serve to buttress the share price by giving the impression that new owners are buying the stock at the desired level. This activity might convince others, who are not privy to the scheme, to buy into the stock as they assume the trades indicate there is a growing interest in the stock. There may even be some presumption that the company is about to release news that, once made publicly known, would drive up the price.

However, since the circular trade scheme does not introduce any real change in ownership nor represent any actual action about to be announced, there is no basis for that perception. If the shares do rise in price as a result, the value is fraudulently inflated. Once the scheme is discovered, that artificial escalation of the stock price will collapse in on itself, taking with it the funds invested by others.

Some initial public offerings (IPOs) and penny stocks may be especially susceptible to circular trade schemes, particularly if certain shareholders want to create the appearance of intense trading activity and buzz surrounding a stock. The intention is to encourage the stock to be pumped up, driven by the attention the cycle of trades attracts. A circular trading scheme typically requires several participants to create the illusion of shares being acquired by new owners when, in fact, the same shares are simply passed through with no actual change in value.

Day traders might fall victim to such a scheme if they are looking for new investment opportunities, see volume activity on a stock, and buy into it expecting the shares to escalate in value.
